I will tell you here what the hindrances to traveling within the United States are. With this knowledge of what hinders you I hope to inspire some to travel within the borders of this great nation. After reading this you will come to understand what the biggest hindrances are and how you can overcome them yourself, by creating your own custom plan.

Number one is money. You need a certain amount of money to travel. If you don’t have at least 10 grand in the bank it will make traveling significantly harder for you. Unless you have researched exactly where you want to go and plan to stay planted there. This article more aims to people who want to explore initially before settling down somewhere for a period of a few weeks or months.
The next step to consider is lodging. Lodging can be your number 1 expense if you do not do what I will reveal to you next. You can live in your vehicle. Yes, that is right. You can travel without having to spend a dime on lodging, if you are gutsy enough to live in the vehicle you have right now. Don’t go looking to spend a lot of money on a new vehicle, you can travel in the one you own right now by making some minor adjustments.

This is where a certain bit of education will be necessary. You need to know how to live in your vehicle. There are many things to consider with how you can accomplish this. Right now I won’t go into all of that. That will be for the following post. Just know that you CAN cut your cost of lodging to ZERO by living in your car, and it can be done easily!

The third biggest hindrance is occupational. This can be solved if you have experience with a certain type of skillset. Think of the jobs that you have had in the past. Usually everyone who has some job history has a certain kind of job that they will be able to get into easily virtually everywhere in America. See America is a corporation and you can use that to your advantage. Everywhere you go in the US you find the same stores and infrastucture, despite there being subtle cultural differences from state to state and town to town. Think of that job you know you can get and it will be in whatever city you travel to next.
See now we have identified the three biggest hindrances that you can easily solve if you have some initial resources. A small nest egg, a vehicle, and a certain set of skills to use in a job somewhere else. All you need to do now is pick a place on the map in the US you want to travel and hit the road!

Those are the tangible hindrances, there are many intangibles that you will have to muster up to take that leap such as the desire, courage, and will to carry it out. I know this method won’t work for everyone, but if you are single and not tied down with many responsibilities there is nothing holding you back!
